Beck - Gamma Ray Single Review

Review of Beck's single Gamma Ray.

Co-produced by the prolific Danger Mouse, Beck’s second single from the new album Modern Guilt is a surprisingly disappointing affair. Demonstrating a slight nod towards 60’s surf rock, ‘Gamma Ray’ consists of a chugging guitar line, occasional bursts of atmospheric vocal wailing and Beck’s trademark laid-back vocal delivery. Unfortunately, it’s a pretty bland and repetitive single that couldn’t be possibly any further away from his best work.
