Waltz with Bashir is a new animated docu-drama, Ari Folman not only directed the film but it's also his story. The film goes back to a time Ari tried to forget about and did forget about for a long time. In his mid-teens he joined the Israeli military to fight in the first Lebanon War and he was faced with death and all the issues war brings about. Ari feels he must finally remember that part of his life so he starts a journey to regain his blocked thoughts, through speaking with old friends and service men, Ari's memories slowly come back and he discovers a new truth about his past.
