When a succession of strange proceedings begin to draw awareness to the world's populace, high school teacher Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberg), his wife Alma (Zooey Deschanel) decide it's time for them to un away from their current lives. They find themselves struggling for survival as they try evading what seems to be an apocalyptic calamity threatening the world.

The Happening stars Mark Wahlberg (The Departed, I Heart Huckabees) and Zooey Deschanel (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Bridge to Terabithia), with John Leguizamo ("E.R.", Moulin Rouge) and Spencer Breslin (The Cat in the Hat, The Kid).
