The Cove is a documentary film about the disturbing realities of how Dolphins are treated in captivity. Ric O'Barry is the man behind the film and somewhat of an unlikely activist; he was the trainer on TV show Flipper. One day Ric had a change of heart and realised Dolphins can't be kept in captivity.

The journey begins with Ric, director Louis Psihoyos and the Oceanic Preservation Society. The group plan to uncover the horrors that happen in the darkest hours of the night off the shore of Taiji. Whilst shooting footage for The Cove, the team of underwater camera experts were put into dangerous situations daily and often threatened with jail time.
