From The makers of 'This Is England' comes 'Somers Town', it's shot in Black and White and tells the story of Tommo who grew up in the Midlands in England and was constantly in care homes, when he turned 16 he decided he'd run away to London where he meets Marek, a polish boy of similar age who lives with his dad.
After meeting in Somers town, both boys grow close and a friendship is formed, Marek takes Tommo in and hides him in his flat, the boys earn money by doing odd jobs for their rather eccentric neighbour Graham. The boys also grow increasingly attached to the French waitress that works in their local café.
Somers Town illustrates that in distant urban environments and fractured family relationships, salvation is found through friendship.
