On Thursday 7 February 2008, the curtain rose for the 58th Berlin International Film Festival, kicking off with the world premiere of Oscar® winning director Martin Scorsese's Shine A Light, his spectacular new motion picture about The Rolling Stones.

All four of The Rolling Stones were in attendance alongside Martin Scorsese in a lavish opening ceremony, as cinemagoers were treated to a unique cinematic experience of rock n roll in a stunning festival setting.

Following its presentation in Berlin, The Rolling Stones will be in London's Leicester Square on Wednesday 2 April as Shine A Light premieres simultaneously there and at cinemas across the country via live satellite. Cinemagoers nationwide will experience a Rolling Stones concert as never before - as the fifth member of the band, from the front row and from behind the scenes.

Shine A Light will be released in cinemas nationwide by Twentieth Century Fox on April 11, 2008.
