There's a whole side to illegal immigration that most people don't see, people from all over the world go to London to find a new home and often they find themselves being exploited, under paid and work in terrible conditions.

Outlanders tells the story of Adam, a Polish man who comes over to the UK to try and find his brother after the recent death of his father in Poland. After Adam find his brother Jan, he introduces him into a whole new world of corruption, he and his other work colleagues smuggle people into the UK on fishing boats. Though the struggle is hard, Adam finds something of a life and meets Anna, the two fall in love and Anna finds work through Jan.

When an accident occurs on an illegal building operation someone dies and Jan is taken in by the police. Adam must decide if he will betray his brother and tell the police everything he knows in order to stop Anna being deported or keep loyal to his brother and back his very dubious and morally fraught ways.
