When Sam Bell elects himself for one of the loneliest jobs in the world, he's confident he knows exactly what he's getting into. Working on the Moon and stuck in a three year contract, his job is to mine a source of power called Helium-3.

He's able to contact Earth through a satellite. When Sam goes out onto the moon to checkout some system faults, he wakes up back on the base with no idea how he got there. With reoccurring headaches, deteriorating health, and a broken satellite, Sam must figure out what is reality and where exactly he fits into the company plans.
