Hunter S. Thompson is one of the most extraordinary writers of the past 50 years, most people associate him with Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas and having his ashes shot out of a cannon by Johnny Depp.

Alex Gibney directs Gonzo, a documentary that pays homage to Hunters life, and tells a few stories and a lot of the history in his life that was lesser known. He was one of the most notable political commentators of his time and never short of something to say and it seems his friends and colleagues have just as much to say about him.
