During the mid 80's the IRA were at their most popular. The british forces in Irleand were fighting - what seemed to be - a never ending battle. Martin McGartland was a young lad recruited by the British security forces and asked to infiltrate the IRA and pass back their secrets, and future plans for terrorist attacks.

Whilst McGartland was passing knowledge back to the British, he is said to have saved many lives and his intelligence halted many bomb attacks on innocent civilians. All was well until the IRA figured out he was a mole. The IRA tortured McGartland but he managed to escape by jumping out of a tower block window.
