Cooper is the editor of a politics section in a newspaper, he's a bright and intelligent guy, until he suffers a concussion and his life is immediately altered, he's thrown from the politics section and put on comic strip detail, still unable to concentrate on his work, his boss tells him to go on holiday.

The place of choice is his childhood home, where his uncle is in serious debt and it looks like he's going to lose his home, the two men and some family friends - including Cooper's high school love - embark on a journey to try and sell the only thing Uncle Rollie has that might be worth some money. A baseball card.
