Cass was a Jamaican orphan adopted by an aged white couple in Britain back in 1950's London, the film follows his transformation from one of the UK's most feared hooligans to a best selling author.
Racial bullying was common place in the 1950/60's and Cass put up with racial slurs everyday. One day Cass finally snapped, and from that point on he decided he wouldn't be bullied again. Violence proved to be Cass' key, it gained him respect he'd never had before. Football played a large part in hooliganism, Cass, a deicated supporter of West Ham United found himself the leader of the trouble cause few called The Intercity Firm (The ICF). Cass found himself in prison for football related violence.
After his release, Cass fell in love and tried to change his life for the better but his past kept on catching up with him and eventually he was shot at point blank range as a result of his past life, now Cass must make the decision which road to go down.
