Written and Directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, Burn After Reading stars John Malkovich as a ex CIA analyst who has recently been fired and who also has a wife that's planning on getting a divorce, feeling very dissatisfied with life Osbourne Cox (John Malkovich) writes a memoir.

Planning to build a case against Osbourne Cox (Malkovich), his wife makes a copy of all his bank details and a copy of his newly written book and accidentally leaves them in a locker a her local gym.

When gym manager Linda Litzke (Frances McDormand), finds the disc she and her best friend, trainer Chad Feldheimer (Brad Pitt) think they've struck gold, finding some of the governments best kept secrets that they will be able to sell the information to the highest bidder. When Linda starts seeing a secret service agent Harry Pfarrer (George Clooney), she becomes even more sure selling the information is going to work out well for her. Harry loves his wife but has a serious sex addiction that's sent him looking for woman on the internet where he met Linda and the wife of the CIA agent who he is also seeing. The characters keep on connecting in very unexpected ways but all Osborne wants is his memoirs back.
