Brothers is the emotional tale of a young family whose lives are thrown into chaos when Sam Cahill - who's a Captain in the Marines - goes to war and news returns to his wife that Sam is presumed dead.

Sam and his brother Tommy are very different people, Sam is married to his high school sweetheart, Grace, and has two kids with her. Tommy is just out of jail and continually drifting through life, getting by relying on his wit.

When the news reaches the Cahill family about Sam's presumed death, Grace is distraught, Tommy decides it's time to grow up and take on some responsibility and help Grace get through the tough period. After much time, love and work the family start to come to terms with the situation only to find Sam survived. Grace now torn between the two very different brothers she sees a new side to Sam she's never known before.
