Bright Star is based loosely on the love of poet John Keats life. Keats was a hopeless romantic, his words were beautiful but not often understood and given credit by critics of his time. Fanny Brawne was a realist, a young lady who was from higher society, for a woman of her time she was very independent, making her own clothes. The two bonded over the illness of John's brother and so began the love story, though it seems their love it not meant to last.
