Astro is a young robot who's been created by a remarkable scientist called Dr. Tenma. Astro Boy looks exactly like all the young human children who he socialises with but he has special abilities, his body - powered by a special blue energy - is capable of many things including X-ray vision, super strength, the ability to fly, guns in his butt and many other features he's been built with to protect the earth from danger!

When Astroboy's friends and family who live in Metro City are in danger, he must fulfil his destiny and become the hero Dr. Tenma created.
