American Teen follows the lives of 5 teenage kids from a little town in Indiana, they are all very different and all have very different ambitions. A popular girl, a jock, the school heartthrob, an art student and a geek. Each kid is about to graduate their high school and they all have very different plans for the future.

The documentary shows each of the kids trying to take one step closer to achieving their dreams, be it getting a scholarship for college or simply trying to find a girlfriend!
