Review of Bashy's album Catch Me If You Can

London MC Bashy releases his debut album 'Catch Me If You Can' on Ragz2Richez. Bashy is certainly a lyrical talent created a name from himself with the main UK players Wiley, Kano and Dizzee Rascal but most notably writing 'Kidulthood to Adulthood' featured on the film Adulthood that is on 'Catch Me If You Can', also a class tune, gave him his break.

Bashy's debut definitely deserves respect. The grime/hip hop influence is keeping it street UK although there's a Caribbean influence here too. 'Travel The World' is a clever track displaying the conscious writer and good wordsmith that Bashy is. There are some nice well produced tracks with good vocals like 'Change' and 'Living My Dream'. There's 'Black Boys' as a bonus track that deserves to be on there reaching out to black conscious to uplift positively very much in line with Mos Def.

There's no question Bashy is good MC and great lyricist. Indeed it shows how much UK hip hop has progressed as 'Catch Me If You Can' shows a slick style and unique flavour. Bashy deserves respect and with this proficient debut and should continue to grow in the music business.
