Mariah Carey gives us another peek at some of the magic we saw in Glitter here in Wisegirls, a ridiculous look at three waitresses (Carey, Mira Sorvino, and Melora Walters) working in a New York Italian restaurant. Despite all the melodrama (Sorvino's got a dead boyfriend, and so on, and so on) these wisegirls are at least not totally horrific -- except, surprisingly, for Walters, who looks truly haggard here. Don't get me wrong, the movie is crap, but at least I didn't kill myself while I was watching it.

Going into any movie it helps to have low expectations. I went into this movie
with low expectations due to the slammin of Glitter. Boy, was I surprised. This
movie has heart and it entertained me. Mariah showed that she can act and will
get better with each movie given the chance. The critic who said this was crap
must not have read his own review, which gives the true meaning of CRAP. Give
it a chance and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
The movie "Wisegirls" was incorrectly labled as "Crap" and I wanted to say it
was very entertaining and Mariah Carey's best acting performance yet! She was
so convincing as "Rachel" in this movie that she overwelmingly out acts Mira
and Merlora. It was directed and produced much better than Mariah's "Glitter"
which proves a movie is only as good as its directing and producing. Movies
many times die on the editing floor! This movie needs to be upgraded to 3 stars
and the lable "Crap" needs to be changed to "Entertaining". In all fairness you
have to agree it proves Mariah can ACT and all you haters out there need to put
"Glitter" on the shelf and open your minds to good acting, especially if you
are going to be a critic. Thank You!
