She's a single mom and staffer at the local pound. The other one's her put-upon daughter. But surprise, mom's a formerly huge rock star (and no one realizes it!!!) and the kid has dreams of being a musician too! Together they're The Wilde Girls, in a film that reminds us why Olivia Newton-John is best known for a movie made in 1978, not to mention countless VH-1 retrospectives. Kitsch is out, folks -- this movie is so corny (not to mention very badly lip-synced) that I can't begin to count its flaws. My favorite: the girl is "discovered" and dragged to Hollywood after one cover performance at her highschool talent show, where she is signed -- immediately -- to a seven-year contract. Not with those teeth, honey.
