Recess Christmas: Miracle on Third Street Movie Review

Recess Christmas: Miracle on Third Street Review

"Recess Christmas: Miracle on Third Street" Overview

*** stars

The teachers and principals of Recess reminisce about those rambunctious kids at Third Street School and how they've contirbuted to the holiday spirit -- whether trying to win a canned food drive or having to spend a weekend with the evil Ms. Finster.

I'm not sure whether these are original vignettes or are simply holiday-oriented highlights from past shows. I don't expect most kids will remember, and adults will find Recess Christmas a reasonably good time -- the bits are short, about 10 minutes each, strung together with only the most cursory of uber-plots, so there's not too much time to get bored with the less successful episodes. My personal favorite is TJ's stint as principal for a day (how this relates to Christmas I have no idea...), but that's probably just my own inflated ego talking. Dick Clark, James Earl Jones, and Robert Goulet all make vocal appearances, too, upping the attraction for those out of short pants.
