Aka The Way We Are.... sadly, I know no one like these self-obsessed sexaholics.
Stupid. Avoid.
Reviewer: Christopher Null
I knew and I know a lot of people who were exactly as alcosexobsessive or
however my precomentator phrased his critique of the movie. That's why we made
it! To give viewers an insight of what was going on at these times (1994) in
Los Angeles. When we gave out the script to actors and actresses for the
casting, nearly everybody told us, they knew a friend or a relative who was
exactly like on of the characters portraied in our movie. Sure it wasn't meant
to be universal. That's why it's called "Quiet Days in Hollywood". The title
"The way we are" was only chosen by the German Distributor, so you don't have
to feel included.
It's just a portrait of the times and its people during the 90s in Hollywood,
and for sure extreme and special, as this town has always been. It's not called
"Quiet Days in Wisconsin or Idaho or Bremen or Duesseldorf".
It was during these quiet days in Hollywood that we made it, and I think it's
pretty accurate.
And worth to chek it out, ten years later, even if only just as a glimpse into
times long past.
