Noted environmentalist/vegetarian Woody Harrelson takes a road trip with his unabashed hippie friends in Go Further, a crude documentary that follows his crew from Oregon (via bikes and a bio-diesel bus) to southern California, proselytizing all the while.

Nothing wrong with that, but the film is so riddled with cliches and old information that it's hard to muster much interest in the cause or, by extension, enthusiasm for the "film."

Lessee... There's yoga on the side of the road. A cake made out of avocado. A visit to Ken Kesey (indicating how long ago this was shot: Kesey died in 2001). Bulger burgers. Hacky sack. Natalie Merchant singing. A run-in with the cops during a sit-in. You name it, this hippie flick has it!

The most tired part of the film involves hanger-on Steve, who starts out a "junk food addict" and smoker and ends up living clean by the end of the trip. A dream sequence has animated junk food swirling around his sleeping head. And the absurd chant he ends up with -- "Say no to corn dogs!" -- makes you really, really want to eat a corn dog.

Plenty of extras on the DVD. Don't think about how unenvironmental DVDs are when you watch it.
