One of Kenneth Branagh's sole "mainstream" projects (the excreble Frankenstein notwithstanding), Dead Again is a truly enjoyable popcorn movie, even if it is ultimately total nonsense. Here we have Branagh and then-wife Emma Thompson cavorting through a psychological thriller as they both discover they have past lives that may or may not be coming back to haunt them. Silly fun, but well acted, lively, and featuring a number of clever cameos.

Dead Again is packed full of delicious surprises. It's a mystery, it's a
thriller, it's a romance, it's a little science fiction fantasy. It's fun. Its
a great date movie. Fantastic cast with Branagh and Thompson playing double
rolls. Andy Garcia, Derick Jacobi and Robin Williams each provide possible
tension or relief. Everyone seems guilty, but what is the motive? The ultra
exciting soundtrack is provided by none other than Patrick Doyle. Starting with
Henry V Doyle has done all Branagh's films and recently completed "Harry Potter
and the Goblet of Fire". This is one of my all time favorite movies.
