The Council of Amigos are proud to confirm that subject to the neccesary
licences being obtained Strummercamp 2007 will be taking place over the
weekend of May 26th-27th.
This promises to be two very exciting days of entertainment, a lot of hard
work has gone into making this years event even bigger and even better
than Strummercamp 2006.
We plan to put on approximately 36 bands across three stage areas in the
space of the weekend ensuring that there will always be something for everyone,
many Artists have now confirmed and these will be made Public through this
site on the 26th of January; The day on which tickets for Strummercamp
2007 will be put on sale. Until that date we will not be officially releasing
any "names" but some of the Artists themselves have already started
to publicise their appearance so the more inquisitive of you should be
able to find some pointers without having to look too hard.
The bands performing will be a combination of established acts and upcoming
unsigned acts, carefully selected to provide a balanced weekend of high
class entertainment. Expect to see some of your favourites from last year
too in an exclusive area along we hope with some very special guests. With
multiple stages and a number of other attractions we aim to further encompass
the true festival ambience at this years Strummercamp.
Catering will once again be provided by the Club caterers, who were practically
working around the clock to feed us all last year, and the bar facilities
will again be provided by the Club with the intention of selling beer on
draught at regular prices instead of canned this time around.
Strummercamp 2007 is also proud to be an accesibility event, all Public
areas of the event will be accesible to everyone, toilets and other facilities
will be provided, all access routes will be flat or have ramps where neccesary
and we will be happy to arrange for a secure area should any patrons have
sensitive or delicate medical equipment they need to bring.
The event will again be held within the secure confines of the sporting
arena, ensuring the maximum possible safety for all attendees and their
belongings. First aid trained Medical Staff will be present at all times
throughout the Festival, a lost childrens point and who knows a lost adult
point if neccesary.......
All the neccesary insurances in respect of Public Liability will be in
place and a certificate will be available for inspection in the ticket
offices at all times.
