London Calling - and it's going to be a major musical heatwave !

The LOVEBOX Weekender is back, bigger, better and more utterly genius than ever. Eight stages set within 25 acres of glorious parkland featuring every musical style, from some of the biggest bands and DJs around, to the finest of Indie, Electronica, Latin, Folk, World, Dance and Soul, LOVEBOX '08 is offering up the best in new and established music.

Add to that a complete carnival of anarchic entertainment, a Spoken Word stage, a Street Art Exhibition, performance art, gourmet food galore, clubbing it in The Pentagon's War Room or a downtown New York 70's disco, a mojito or ten at The UK Festival's longest Cocktail Bar and you have the perfect destination for all happy hedonists. All this and MUCH MUCH more to be announced over the next few weeks.

GREAT ESCAPE STAGE: Europe's leading new music festival delivering the finest Indie bands Young Knives, Lightspeed Champion

STRANGELOVE TENT: The Nextmen, The Glimmers, The Black Seeds and Stanton Warriors battle it out in the dimly it Pentagon War Room.

DOWNLOW: Not shady; just fierce. Horse Meat Disco and dream disco guests in a downtown Manhattan 70s tenement.

STOCKADE: Part wild-west saloon/part alpine glade, part disco picnic with Mulletover, and SecretSundaze under the giant mirrorball.

SOURCED MARKET IN ASSOCIATION WITH METRO NEWSPAPER: Farmers market in the park: London's best stall holders serving up gastronomic nirvana for all tastes and appetites..

FRINGE STAGE: Performers cherry-picked from Europe's performing arts festivals - Fish Seeks Bicycle, Cut A Shine 21st Century Barn dancing, escapologists, contortionists. A bit weird.

ALFRESCO STAGE: A solar powered stage powering brand new artists Young Blood Brass, Hayseed Dixie and Rachel Unthank.

At the turn of the new millennium, Tom and Andy aka dance gurus Groove Armada decided that they wanted to develop a winning formula for great parties with that extra special something. Out of their love for the many different types of music that feed in to dance culture LOVEBOX was created with the intent of bringing fresh exciting sounds along with genius
classic artists to people's ears and feet. To this day, LOVEBOX has grown from this humble
concept into the capital's most innovative and exciting music festival.

LOVEBOX continues to be lovingly put together by a growing team of enthusiasts who live and breathe the music scene in its many variations. The result is an annual event that stays true to the origins of fantastic music festivals the world over.

Last years LOVEBOX was a massive success - A total sell-out 40,000 very happy people were entertained by the likes of Blondie, Sly And The Family Stone, The B-52's, Super Fury Animals, Toots and the Maytails, New Young Pony Club, The Rapture, Hot Chip, Felix Da Housecat, Bonde de Role, along with a fairground, free moustaches, Brazilian Dancers and a whole host of other LOVEBOX goodies.
