I don`t think that you reserched anything Elvis ever and I never understood why you were given that award at all, you don`t deserves it. He held this over Elvis's head his entire life. He blackmailed Elvis and squeezed as much $ out of Elvis as he could. Many young musicians and artists often experiment, it doesn't mean anything. But to be blackmailed over it your entire career must be awful. Imagine having a manager that you despise and is guiding you in all the wrong directions, but there's nothing you can do!

Elvis WAS gay. Col. Tom Parker had photos of him with another young man when Elvis was about 20 years old. He held that over Elvis's head the rest of his life. As for Jonathan's comments, this isn't the first time this has been discussed but I believe this young Irishman basically had one too many pints when he said that. I mean, when I first heard of "Bend Like Beckham", I thought it was another Irish "Brokeback Mountain", especially after seeing him in the trailers. Now if Jonathan can take a little more acting lessons from the young man who walked away with Golden Globes for, let's see, "Walk The Line", maybe his future roles as an American would be more convincing. Let me first start off by saying i am only 21 years old. I am a very big fan of Elvis Presley. I admire all of his work that he did in his lifetime. I know i am too young to realize who elvis was but believe me i am fully aware of who elvis presley was. Now to continue on subject about Myers. my opinion on him...HE IS A VERY LOUSY ACTOR THAT GAVE ELVIS AND THE PRESLEY CLAN A BAD IMAGE. When i first saw the movie last year the movie was so bad i continue to watch it hoping and praying that only it would get better, but i was wrong. I have seen quite a few documenteries on elvis during my lifetime, elvis (with kurt russel) elvis and me and elvis meets nixon just to name a few. this movie by far was the worse one i have seen. i didnt like elvis meets nixon that much either but i rather sit through that movie over and over again than watch this 2005 movie. myers have the nerve to say elvis was gay. i know for a fact that he wasnt gay. heck when elvis was alive whereever he went regardless if was driving cars up and down elvis presley blvd or going to the studio or a concert he always had a female acquatinces by his side. now if a guy was gay wouldnt he a male by his side? i now he had his mafia but they didnt different jobs for him and a female was always around to be by his side whenever he needs a woman presence around, elvis' wardrobe yeah it was probably a little wild but to me it was just him. people back then try to compare him to liberace. if u ask me liberace wardrobe compared to elvis. elvis' was tame. Myers couldnt protray elvis even if he didnt have the material to work off of.
