Thomas Winslets Win Was Unfair Message Board and Comments
Comments
Here, here, racegirl24.
Obviously Starshine you have no idea what you are talking about. Ms. Thomas was
commenting on the fact that Kate Winslet was nominated for a "supporting role"
when her part in the movie was a "leading one". Kristin Scott Thomas was right
on for her statement because she was thinking of the other "supporting
actresses" not herself. She was not nominated as a supporting actress, so she
was only being thoughtful toward the others who were, since they were robbed of
that award. As for Ms. Thomas's work, your comment on her film is way off base
since you haven't even seen the film yet. She is totally and completely the
lead in the film "I've Loved You So Long" and her performance has been hailed
by critics the world over. It is the best performance of the year and
absolutely amazing. If you had actually seen the film there is no way you
could have missed that. You really should know your facts a bit better before
slamming an actress you know nothing about.
Kristen Scott Thomas is just jealous of Kate that she didn't win. Thomas'
performance was well done, what little she actually did, but she was barely in
the film. It's a pity that she can be so hateful. It shows what her real
personality is: full of herself. Now I won't be able to watch that movie when
it comes out on DVD without thinking how arrogant Thomas is. Great job with
that, Thomas. I'll be sure to steer clear of your films from now on.
