I am a big fan of Adam Lambert. I don't care what his sexual preference is. His music must be separate from his private life. His admission does not in any way change my admiration of him. I think he was just pressured to make the admission. He is an honest person and I'm sure he has no intention of flaunting it. At this present time we should rather admire honest people than those who would lie to keep their fame.

I don't think coming out ruined Adam's career. Being gay never hurt Freddie Mercury who was one of rock's greatest singers. I admire Adam for being honest and being true to hisself. Adam is awesome and the focus should only be on his talent, not his personal life which is NO ONE's business anyway.

With all due respect to Mr. Simmons, I strongly disagree. Adam's career will be phenomenal, precisely BECAUSE he had the intestinal fortitude to know himself and to honestly show everyone who he is. The world is long past needing to change its attitude toward those with alternative life styles. Adam has a huge fan base of people who accept and love him exactly the way he is.

People need to stop punishing people for being honest about who they really are. Although one's sexuality should be personal information, putting it out there is an act of courage that should be commended. The last paragraph/quote is totally out of context and date- he did not just recently say he's a handsome man and can come on tour with them - he said this the day after the Idol finale. Get your facts correct before posting. Gene Simmons is out of touch with anything that has nothing to do with Gene Simmons. The focus is currently on Adam and his "duel albums" coming out this year and nobody except Gene is focusing on his sexuality anymore. Perhaps Gene wants a piece of Adam's action.
