Schwarzenegger Gives Up Hummers Message Board and Comments

I think his wife had something to do with it. Mine made me give up Hummers a long time ago.

Those who typically complain what others do seem to have quite a narrow life. It won't matter what he chooses to do because there will always be others complaining on either side. My surprise as to him has been his promise to not make any movies and focus on the state of california. Say what you wish but to turn your back on EASY millions to attempt to turn a state around takes credit. Doesn't matter if your a Demo/Rep to respect that. But then again people with a cause don't respect anything but their cause of the moment.

There is no win for the Gov... people will have to say something. He, Arnold, has made up his mind and acted on it in a positive way. You critics have nothing to say so why don't you just go away...

It's a shame Arnie didn't have the foresight back in 1992 before begging the automakers to fulfill his whim. Thanks to him, these fuel guzzlers are all over roads down here in southern california. Unbelievable, maybe corporations and gov't are divorcing. Perhaps, the rest of gov't will follow Arnold's lead and give up sponsoring corporations. One could imagine that the gov't could stop bothering Verizon, AT&T and Sprint for wire-taps into everyone's phones. Maybe the gov't will halt their censorship by allowing Amazon to stock the book "America Deceived" or returning BYU physics professor Stephen Jones to his job as a 21-year tenured teacher because he exposed the fact scientifically that explosives took down the WTC buildings, thermite, specifically. So much for being environmentally aware. Instead of a majority of his fleet of hummers sitting in the garage most days, now all of the new owners will be driving all of the vehicles most every day. This was a stupid move if his goal was to truly be eviro-friendly. To me at least the math does not add up.
