Ever since I read of McClintock's letter delivered to attendees at the recent (somewhat) Republican gathering in Southern CA, in which McClintock accused any/all of "not being a real Republican" unless they support Schwarzenegger...well, dunno, but McClintock seems to me to be a contrary person. Here's this guy promoting a liberal Democrat as a Republican, trying to naysay potential conservative and Republican support, shame them for being conservative and perhaps resenting the Democrat as Republican candidate...I'm glad I supported Bill Simon and concluded that the GOP in CA has lost it's mind. I think McClintock just sounds like an all 'round snippy, temperamental guy. I'm curious if McClintock ever told Gibson, "thanks." He sure has time and effort enough to tell him to get lost.

The true 'whackoos' of both major political parties would sell their souls for more money and exposure. MadMel drinking Manishewitz would lead to an ongoing surge in Kosher wine sales despite his despicable comments! How else does the indicted/convicted felon and fellow 'short/fattie' a la HOWIE DEAN, throw a fundraiser at his Hamptons mansion for the DEMS and no one says a peep about the convicted fraudster? It's because of his money=power! Don't you get it? Warren 'fat/stout' Buffet rips off first Salomom Brothers (with his illegal bond thing), then he rips off A.I.G customers (with his bribes and setting insurance rates), then he rips off the people of the Gulf Coast by not paying a vast percentage of Katrina claims! Then we think he is a great philanthropist because he gives back a portion of the money he stole! Can we be any more delusional! Treating a thief like he's 'Jesse James' or something! Treating Nasty Soros like he's some kind of political savant! What's next Paris Hilton for U.S. Senate or donating money so Ben Afleck movies won't be declared banned in HOLY WAR as an affront to G-D? Heh, the last isn't such a bad idea? Zyskandar A. Is there anything cheesier, or sleazier, than someone who is so desperate for a little ch$nge that they are willing to try to hawk stuff on a comment line? Geez, why not try to sell life insurance to your mother's friends? Or schedule one of those cruises where everybody else pays, and the organizer gets to go along for free. Even Mel Gibson doesn't do that!

As a general rule, I usually label politicians gutless and cowards. But after Gibson's rant, can't blame the guy for not wanting Gibson's endorsement. Mel's got a lot to prove before I am willing to simply give him a pass. He really disappointed me.
