Respecting all opinions stated all over the web, I believe this is Ozzy, nobody else. The lawsuit comes from a good man, kind man, and respectful man only wanting what is justice in this matter for the band and for the fans. Regardless of whether Iommi currently claims sole ownership, something seems wrong about the idea that he is drawing monies for not just his own image but for those including the other three members, and for a name that was built on four backs, not one. Tony Iommi should not be the only person owning the trademark Sabbath. They all admit in an interview during OZZFEST that in their own minds Black Sabbath is Butler, Ward, Iommi, and Osbourne. Nobody else. Without any one of them the name would not have become history. Iommi supposedly got rights to it at a time when the members were vulnerable emotionally, when breakups happened. It just seems calculated on his part. We are now recognizing today the ground-breaking contributions these men had to rock music/metal. Honoring the sixteen plus years four men committed, not just Iommi, is just - Iommi reaping the benefit of it all himself is selfish and unjust. Ozzy tried as his statement says for 3 years face to face guys. How many of you spend that long with a good friend trying to work things out? Give the man a break. By the way? Ozzy has been sober for several years now, following his son Jacks example. This time it is not a joke - it's for real. Ozzy admitted in a recent statement that during the filming of the Osbournes he was not sober. Google "i was stoned every day while filming the osbournes admits ozzy osbourne" to read his statement on dailyrecord.co.uk published May 4, 2009. I hope fans of Sabbath and of Ozzy join me in congratulating him on that accomplishment and stop ignorant trashing of him for mistakes of the past. Watch Ozzy on interviews. He is clearheaded, shy, and still suffers from his disease - but he's engaged and I'm so happy for him and his family. Ozzy took longer than Sully Erna or James Hetfield, with some relapses and denials - he's been at it far longer tho folks. I hope Ozzy is given respect for only wanting what is right in this.
