Why would we want to subsidize the auto-makers and carry the burden of the extra cost of eco-friendly construction. Who has more money, us or them? Did anyone made an analysis how much carbon emission the manufacturing of batteries cost? How about the disposal after 5 years when the batteries go dead? How about the cost of the new set of batteries? $7-9000 recurring cost to be borne by the owner, while the recurring carbon emmission of the batteries and the new profit made by the battery maker is under the carpet? It's money baby...

..at least she is honest. But really, can somebody answer that question affirmatively?

Actually Toyota makes a eco-car far more comfortable than a Bentley. The Lexus LS600h has a hybrid drive and thus pollutes less.
