The Backstreet Boys, are amazing they have great music and they are passionate about what they do and New Kids On The Block are no even close to as good as The Backstreet Boys and never will be. They Backstreet Boys music comes from the heart and thats where music comes from. Therefore New Kids On The Block should just keep there comments to themselves. The Backstreet Boys have music that helps people through hard times and good times. I know I have been there. Thanks Guys!

I LOVE the Backstreet boys--then, now and forever. None of the other boy bands even come close to their amazing talent, charisma, and even their good hearts and character. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who insults them SUCKS! I'm not some goofy screaming teenage girl---I'm old enough to probably be most of your mothers. These guys have TRUE talent--excellent stage presence, extensive dance and instrumental training, great harmonies, and they don't even have to have a band to entertain if it came to that. They can sing a'capella unbelievably and have the best voices. My favorite is Alex/AJ, madly in love with him (much to my husband's dismay-lol), and his voice affects me right straight to my heart and down to my toes. However, they are all extremely talented--they didn't go multi-platinum several times because they're no good. Lou Pearlman's interest was money only. He betrayed the bsb in many ways, and signed on N'sync to Jive, who sounded like they were trying to be backstreet clones, just to bring in a new boy band for more attention--not because he thought they were better. I've done my homework--not just spewing bs. Of course there's some talent with n'Sync (especially Justin Timberlake and New Kids on the Block--but none can touch The Backstreet Boys--no way, no how. As far as them evolving to a new style or new genres of music--What would that prove? People keep saying that, but I say... DON'T HAVE TO MESS WITH SUCCESS!

Actually kevin did slamm NKOTB first..it was on MTV..they were talking about the evolution of pop music..kevin said something like "nkotb was never a vocal group and thats why there not here today" then he also said " only 1 or 2 guys sing and the rest just showed up"..after that Kevin dissed nsync,he said somethin like nsync were copying us..then it showed a clip of nsync and chris says "backstreet who?"...it is a FACT that backstreet boys were made because Lou pearlman was trying to copy maurice starr's success with the new kids..just like Lou pearlman did with nsync..after bsb left lou pearlman..lou was lookin for the same entity like bsb..it only took NKOTB about 6 years to sell over 70 mill..yes BSB is the top selling boyband but it nearly took them about 14 years just to beat NKOTB record

Oh, one more thing... The New Kids have been gone for 15 years. They came back and their album became #2 on the Billboard Top 200. Their concerts have sold out left and right. New Kids didn't start this battle BSB fans...your boy Kevind did, not once, not twice, but every time someone interviewed his rat face (yes, I'm sorry, the dude looks like a rat with his tiny rat teeth)- he had to spout off about how they are so much 'better' than New Kids...and New Kids never said a word. I'm glad Danny said what he did... It's about time they fired back. If you BSB fans can't take it, you should tell your rat boy to shut his yap.

Ummm sorry,but Backstreet Boys have constantly cut down on New Kids, and there would NOT be Backstreet Boys OR Nsync WITHOUT New Kids. It is a FACT that Lou Pearlman, who created both BB and NSync, got the idea after he flew the New Kids on his private jet service... he saw $$ so he went on a search for guys to fit the bill. He even advertised "Need five boys for New Kids on The Block like group" Backstreet Boys CONSTANTLY claimed they were 'so original' and New Kids had NOTHING to do with who they were. Which was absolute BULLSH$T. New Kids ALWAYS talked about how they weren't the first... they always talked about New Edition, and The Jackson Five, etc... they gave credit where it was due. Backstreet Boys just showed how insecure they truly are. It's about time that the New Kids fired back on the Backstreet Boys... those morons should of kept their mouths shut, and taken a page from Nsync, who always gave credit and props to The New Kids... AS THEY SHOULD. As far as their music, I can't stand Backstreet Boys... but I don't slam people for liking them. Whatever floats your boat ladies... But for me, it's New Kids all the way. Their new album ROCKS... and so do they!

This is upsetting and really sad. The Backstreet Boys never slammed NKOTB as far as I know. They just didn't like to be compared to them. Anyway, all the BSBs have said they were happy that the NKOTB are reuniting and making another album. Danny should read more recent news before he starts slamming the BSBs.

Hello everyone!!! I'm a huge Backstreet Boys fan. I must say I'm really disappointed with what one of the New Kids on the Block's member said about BSB. First and foremost, I don't believe that NKOTB lay the ground for boybands. What about "The Beatles?" They are boyband as well whom is very much ahead of NKOTB. With all the nice things that BSB said about their comeback that's all that STUPID Danny can say? Every artist has their own style in singing right? Therefore no one is entitled for such a criticism. Yes, it is true that competition is always there. But is doesn't mean you'll have to say something bad towards your rivals. It is just a matter of minding your own business.

NKOTB started it all, they were the original "boy band" Without them laying the ground, there would be no BSB or N'SYNC. It's all music, who the hell cares who's better or who's older or younger, blah blah blah.....

This is just really sad, I read in some article that the Backstreet Boys were happy that New Kids on the Block were actually back doing what they did, but I guess these men haven't gotten the congratz. I still can't believe they are slaming 'em like that, bsb just didn't have that big of a bang with their album Unbreakable because of choices in singles and really crappy promotion, but the album was truly amazing. It's just kind of sad that these 'men' are just picking fights with other people when it is not needed. I use to have some respect for NKOTB (it dropped a bit with their songs and the music video that came out) but it just dropped even further ... real artists don't need to bring down other artists to justify the difference of their music. New Kids on the Block needs to grow up with their music and with their personalities.

The Backstreet Boys have never had a comeback because they were never gone, their sound has definately evolved, and the New Kids haven't been around long enough to have any room for c**kiness. I did run out and buy their new album the day it came out and I have to say it sounds like an old 98 degrees album for the most part... which isn't a bad thing... but it's definately nothing new. And most of the songs on the album sounded the same. And if we want to start a competition we might as well have all five members of each group do an a cappella solo and see which group has more members that can't hold their own. Because I believe only three New Kids sing versus the Backstreet's five. If we want to go on to dancing or instrument ability I don't even think we even need to leave New Kids in the running. I'm a newer fan to New Kids but a die hard BSB, Nsync, and O-Town fan, so if they want to keep their newer fans the last thing they need to do is bash the more talented bands that came to follow them... and surpass them.

i've never heard about kevin saying anything bad about new kids on the block and i wont belive it until i've seen proof like an artical quoting what he said or a recorded interview but i do remember 1 time bsb got asked about what they thought of nkotb comeback and they said they were happy for them or something like that but i cant believe nkotb.they're entitled to thier own opinion but i think they said it out of slight jelousy aswell. especially danny wood i think he should f**k off. nsynk and bsb were big rivals but they never had problems thats cos they're both humble boybands unlike nkotb,they're sooo conceted

I wouldn't even call what they said "slamming" the Backstreet Boys. I mean I love the Backstreet Boys but Kevin was really the one who started this feud by saying that it was more difficult for them to be successful being compared to New Kids.

There are several reasons (but I will resort to naming three) why NKOTB will be more successful than BSB and here they are: *A hell of a lot more money going towards marketing and promotion (Hello NKOTB is signed to Geffen Records - home of PussyCat Dolls) *More money invested in production; NKOTB has a ton of features on their new album: Pussycat Dolls, Lady Gaga, Akon, and Ne-Yo. All current chart toppers...How wrong can you really go when you have 5 features and a song about summertime that comes out in wait SUMMERTIME...Very difficult this success recipe. *Finally, backstreet boys never really left so you can't call that a comeback. The only reason you barely heard about them is cuz their label is too busy with Chris Brown nowadays and they kind of don't care about BSB all that much. They are bound to them by contract but hey as long as their obligations are minimally fulfilled no one can go to court. NKOTB however, well this is an actual comback. I mean I was 3 (in 1988) when they were at their peak. Since then they all had failed solo careers and were probably beginning to starve and thought hey - they Spice Girls did it, let's do this! Ultimately yes NKOTB will be more succesful in their comeback however you cannot compare this with the success of BSB who happens to be the #5 best selling act of the 90s in case you don't know your data. The comparison cannot be made because for BSB this is NOT a comeback, it's a constant creative process as for NKOTB well I'll let you decide that for yourself!

What the heck! How can Nkotb say that about Backstreet boys! They have been away for 15 years, bsb NEVER LEFT sure they took a break they deserved one they were touring for like 9 years straight. BSB is way more sucessful then new kids! BSB is also more gracious to their fans they sing for the fans not for the money I met them this year they are the nicest people and are so appreciative for the fans staying with them for 15 years. BSB are so much more talented then new kids, they put on an amazing live show and have always put out amazing records sure maybe they don't change their sound, they tried that with their 2004 cd NeverGone and they found that that did not go over very well that's why they stick to their original sound that is what they are known for, their not trying to be something they're not. How can new kids sat that bsb does not support them, they said that they are behind new kids 100% and they think it's great they are back because new kids opened the door for groups like BSB. All BSB said was don't take the criticism personally just ignore it and do your thing. All I can say is new kids better watch what they say, and I can't wait for BSB to have a new album and new tour so they can show new kids who has more staying power. Keep The Backstreet Pride Alive!

hi. i understand that everybody has their own opinion about things but talking bad about another group doesnt get you the right publicity you need to get your new music following. I was a huge fan of all the boys bands but i can tell you from experience BSB and NSYNC will always be #1 concert performers way better then New kids. I give them mad respect to try it again but our music has changed so much then what it was in the 80's and 90's. I say good luck and hope you have a blast.

W T F ??? Who the hell does New Kids think they are ??? They left the music scene for 15 year!!! 15 years!!! Abandoning there "fans" Just because sucess got to be too much for them ?? And they got to rich ?? So NOW They decide to come back why ??? Are they broke already ?? Did they go thru all there money that fast ?? They are not coming back for the music, they are coming back for the Money. Backstreet on the other hand, HAS NEVER LEFT THE MUSIC SCENCE. They have NEVER broken up, so they took a few years in between most artitsts do, that doesnt mean they are broken up ?? They are sucessful and more loyal to their fans then NK will ever be. New Kids On The Block were out way before the Backstreet Boys and if they don't like BSB then that's their opinion.New Kids are not copy cats,they decided to get back together because they wanted to not because they had to.I wish people would quit dissin' NKOTB and leave them alone!!!!

Wow! I too am a BSB fan. I heard about Kevins comments as well and while i dont think it was something that should have been said im sure that it was out of frustration from being compared to New Kids. Also I dont think what Danny said was very professional, espe cailly since in recent coments the BSB have been giveing props to New Kids. There shouldnt be rivelry. Arent we all adults here??

The truth is stranger than fiction ... when you're a walking contradiction ... BSB was NEVER GONE! But NKOTB, well ya'll need to go back where you were, stop bashing BSB. STOP trying to say they followed you back out into the spotlight, YOU guys are the copy cats, not BSB. BSB announced their world tour for Unbreakable which came out almost a year ago now, in January!(cd was out October of 2007) You guys just decided you were going to come back. This year in 2008 You better think about you said and you better be ready to go head to head with BSB. But one things for sure, Sick as your secrets .. you will eat your words !

Their is absolutely no comparison between the 2 groups. Each guy in BSB can hold his own....... can't say that about NKOTB.

I'm a HUGE BSB fan who happens to be seeing New Kids in concert in 2 and half weeks. I'm really excited and I think I'll have a great time at the concert, however I'm extremely dissapointed in Danny's remarks on BSB. I realize that Kevin and Kevin alone made remarks about NK's 10 years ago (which I didn't agree with at all). However, I think Danny should have been able to move on from that by now. That is all in the past, and Kevin isn't even in the group anymore. All as this is going to do is cause another stupid boyband rivarly that used to exist with NSYNC and BSB. It's time we all grow up and accept that both groups are out there working hard and doing their own thing. Lets put this whole ridiculous immature bickering aside. I've noticed we go through similar experiences with our groups with having to defend them...and the remarks from the haters. Why should we do it to eachother? Oh and by the way....there are great boygroups out there people! Don't hate. :)

I'm so tired of hearing how old NKOTB is (especially in comparison to the BOYS). Kevin (no longer a member of BB, is about to be 37 - a whole 1 year younger than most of the NKs). Howie is the same age as Joe, and all but 1 of the rest of the BBs are in their 30s. Yeah - they are so much younger, they are practically infants! And yes, the BBs have bashed the NKs for years, so I can't blame them one bit for their comment!
