Mccartney Furious Over Green Car Delivery Message Board and Comments

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Sir Paul and would give him anything he wanted if I had it to give, but I've never understood why so many vendors of every kind are always giving celebrities their wares for free - cars, designer clothes, vacation homes, etc. I know the manufacturers are hoping to sell more if the public sees one of their idols wearing or driving or eating or drinking what ever they're selling, and hoping devoted fans will do as their idols do. However, most everyone knows that the majority of celebrities' fans can't even come close to buying or owning whatever it is the entertainer is wearing, eating, drinking, or driving. I myself drive a Lexus - but the Lexus dealer didn't give it to me by any means - even after I let him know what a McCartney fan I am and have been since 1964! And believe me, Sir Paul could sure afford it ALOT more than I can - he gets his for free, and I have 3 yrs. of car payments!!

Having money doesnt mean that you cannot accept girts.

He was given this car because of their appreciation of his enormous talents and contributions also to his efforts to help the environment. Sure he has more than enough money, but he worked his way up the ladder of success to get to that place. He's also be en through a lot of losses in his life, so, why not appreciate the man while he's still around?!!

The most irritating thing to me is that a man who could easily buy 12 of these cars would be given one for free.
