It is MY opinion that this Max Blumenthal is some kind of left wing libtard idiot that had nothing better to do and figured that taking a few shots at one of the *big boys* might help to promote his nefarious reputation. Keep on kickin' it TK, we'll go see the movie and keep on buying you songs...

As usual the PC police are trying to make something out of nothing. If we keep on like this "humor" will just be a word in the dictionary.

There's nothing racist in the tune. It's about law and order. Leave it to some sissy on a left-wing site to make something out of a non-issue just to further smear and suppress people whose views and art forms are more in line with American patriotism and protection of society from predators.

Beer for My Horses was a fun song when it came out, and it's still a fun song. It's time we listen because we enjoy it not for some politically correct agenda. Toby Keith's phrasing in his writing is poetry....it's too bad that jerk can't hear it....

These people have no sense of humor and, to be honest, his granddaddy strung up people of any color for criminal action, most of them most likely white, as the law was not into lynching.

This song has been out since 2003. Only recently some idiot calls it racist. The song says nothing about race. Only justice and hanging bad boys not black boys. There is nothing about lynching which is hanging without a trial. Just some liberal nut case creating something that is not their.

Blumenthal is just a mamby-pamby, instigating lefty kook simply trying to stir up some controversy where none exists. That he blogs at the Huffington Post should leave no question as to the motivation of this miscreant. Hopefully, his 15 minutes of national attention will pass quickly and the press will recognize this whole matter for what it truly is: A non-story.

Love the song. Coming from a truely Western state, I fully understand the thought behind the song. Like it or not life in the states and territories of the old west was very hard, justice was even harder - but it was not racially motivated.

While its true that lynchings were used to control and intimidate the black population back in the day, the truth is that more white people have been lynched in America than black people. So his arguement is completely without merit. I think the fact that black people murder more black people in one year, than white people lynched in the entire history of lynching as being more important for the black community than Max trying to make a racist out of a country singer.

What a knucklehead. This guy takes one line and makes it something its not. This guy also seems to have forgotten the lines: Justice is the one thing you'll always find..." Which has nothing to do with racism but owning up for your crimes. And if Max had a problem with the song, where was he five years ago.
