Elaphaba, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson IS AFRICAN AMERICAN. He was born IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Not Canada dry. He is part Canadian but he is ALL AMERICAN. Dwayne was born in Hayworth (sp?) California. Not Canada. His Father is from Nova Scotia Canada.

I agree with you 110% Jazzma. What about his African heritage? Hell, that's where he needs to start right there. African heritage is MORE RICHER the his Samoan heritage. I totally agree. He had no problem being black when he was in the wwe. And I really liked this man. Sad to see this. I guess his daughter wont know nothing much about her African heritage until she's big enough to learn it on her own. And it doesn't start with music, civil rights movement, and Martin Luther King either. Shame on you Dwayne.

Sorry Jazzma... Dwayne is African-CANADIAN as well as Samoan (NOT African-AMERICAN) and he is quite proud of that side of his racial heritage as well. Do your research first... become informed... and then make your comments. His daughter also shares her mother's Cuban heritage... and I admire how Dwayne & his ex-wife Dany are raising their daughter with an appreciation, understanding & love for ALL of the beautiful & culturally rich ethnicities that she represents.

So, what about his rich African-American heritage that his daughter ALSO inherited? I just love how bi-racial people who are half African-American just totally diss that part of their heritage until they need it to get them where they need to go. Dwayne Johnson had no problem acting black while he was climbing his way up the wrestling ladder performing in the WWE. If you look at his "promos"...you'll see what I mean. He has a total lack of respect for being African-American, and now that he's gone "Hollywood", he treats it like it's a disease instead of a blessing that God made it. His ex-wife is Cuban, and now he dates white women. What next? Is he going to dye his blonde and sport blue contact lenses? I have lost all respect for him.
