what is wrong with the Republicans that think they can use whatever they want without even seeking permission. That is stealing. No different than downloading a song without paying for it, or copying a DVD. I would say unbelievable but for some reason I am not stunned. Royalties are owed for that song. As well as to Van Halen for unlawful use of a song.

All you retards that are slamming Ann and Nancy Wilson, back-off! It's a free country (well, it used to be before president Cheney took office) and if the Wilson sisters feel that strongly about the republicans using their music without prior permission, it's their right to do so. One stupid f**k on here wrote that Ann and Nancy Wilson should place stickers on their CD's "For Democrats Only". I got one for ya. All registered republicans who get their homes and property wiped out by hurricanes, tornados, and floods should not be allowed to sign up for FEMA relief. Since republicans are always bitching and moaning about too much government in their lives....don't ask for the government to bail your stupid fascist asses out when you lose everything! I had to Ann and Nancy....I've been a huge fan since 1975, keep rockin!

The leaders of the Republicans are fascists. Those who foolishly follow them because they talk trash are just that, fools. Musicians have rights as to how others may use their music. The Republicans will disrespect their rights, have contempt for those rights, because they are fascists. Examples of the contempt of Republican fascists can be seen in the examples of Karl Rove, Harriet Myers and Keith Bolton, all who have refused to answer a subpoena from the US Congress. Our democracy has three co-equal branches of government. So they ARE obligated to make themselves available for these interviews. That they don't shows their disrespect for democracy. When women lose the right to choose, people lose their freedom of speech, and you lose your home because the banks played unfairly, thank Republicans who have been determined to destroy the government that protects you from Big Business.

first of all their song, McSame should have asked permission, second of all for you that disown the band, don't u think if you like the music you ought to separate your political feelings, everyone has the right to their own opinion. this is what is wrong with this country, It shows how narrow minded you are not to be able to respect others opinions, after all they wrote the song. grow up

They can have whatever politics they want, but to act like this is ridiculous. A lot of their money came from fans that aren't Democrats, and some of us supported them in the bad times, buying albums like Private Audition and Passionworks when others were writing their careers off. A simple statement of "Glad they like the song, but we support Obama" would have been nice, not this petulant rant. Chrissie Hynde is a liberal, and she didn't lose her damn mind when Limbaugh used her song. Brooks and Dunn complimented the Democrats when Obama used their song last week. Ann and Nancy, if you're going to act like this, then a least be honest, and put stickers on your CD's and signs at your concerts that say "Democrats Only", so the rest of your fans won't spend money on a band that thinks ill of them.
