I think that's a bit strong. I don't think you fully understand Kurt's psychological make-up. Yes, he did become addicted to heroin but he also suffered with bi-polar disorder which means his brain chemistry forced him from manic highs, to crushing lows of depression. Add into the mix addiction to heroin and pressures of being a rock star - which admitedly were choices - and you have a recipe for suicide. I think if you had experienced the suicide of a loved one you just may be ever so slightly more inclined to a more compassionate opinion.

Kurt Cobain was an "A" Class jerk, with no talent, just some sobby, whiney feel sorry for me because I am a Heroin Addict B.S., then thinking only of himself killed himself leaving his daughter. He didn't like Axl Rose because Axl has talent and decided not to be a major junkie like Cobain and though he may be a jerk at times who isn't in this business. Nikki Sixx cleaned his life up and openly admits he was an A-hole through the majority of his addiction, and is more amazing now than ever. Let's all shed a tear for the poor little baby Kurt who took the cowards way out instead of being a man. Talk about a jerk!
