I am 27 and I have CMT1A. I would like to comment that your title for this article is somewhat misleading. "BATMAN - CATWOMAN CONTRACTS NERVE DISEASE" is incorrect. "Contract: to get or acquire, as by exposure to something contagious: to contract a disease." CMT is not a disorder you acquire. CMT is a hereditary neuropathy. You are born with it in your genetic makeup. You can't catch it no matter how hard you try; and you cant get rid of it either! I feel you should publish this correction in some fashion, as the article does not represent this disorder correctly. Thank you, Heather Macmichael

I am 29yrs old, and wa also diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease. I can relate all too well with Julia's comments on her s-l-o-w walk, and unsteady balance. I was diagnosed at age 6 or so, i've had over 18 operations in my life time, and currentl y wear leg braces, and need help from others walking ..esp. in public, or long walks.
