Blair Chooses U2 Classic As Favourite Song Message Board and Comments

This song is not about the troubles in Northern Ireland. This song is about
Africa.

The song is about tearing down Peace Walls in N. Ireland. The naming of streets
separates the two factions (protestant vs catholic or british vs irish, depends
on who you ask, so to say where the streets have no name actually means that
there is no separation, no fighting. It is not indicative of Blair being
depressed.
wooo yeah he on dem danggone drugs! because you know. this stuff is so much
more important than possible electronic voter fraud. We know what misdirection
is. Iraq being a prime example of. Hey they couldn't catch Osama but everyone
knows where Saddam slept. Powderpuff Public Enemy #365 was easily located in
Baghdad and easily handled. If I ask you to do a task, and you demonstrate your
ability to tie your shoes, do you think that merits some kind of reward? I
don't. Yes I know that having your shoes tied is of utmost importantance to
national security.
Reader11722, you need to get off those drugs now and get back to reality. I am
not a Republican or even conservative, but I know that you are way off base and
delusional. Just think what a mess we would be in if Gore had actually
won....wow.
Blair's favorite song, this is on Drudge? The elections are tomorrow. Does
anyone think this year will be different? They already stole 2 presidential
elections (wide scale fraud). You really think they cannot steal House
elections (small scale fraud). This is the same group that managed to legalize
warrantless wiretaps, suspend habeas corpus, ban books like "America Deceived"
from Amazon, detain demonstrators and start 2 illegal wars based on lies. The
Republicans will probably lose a few seats to make it look good but maintain a
majority. Then they'll invade Iran on behalf of Israel. Vote against Blair
(whenever he's up for re-election) and Vote Them ALL OUT tomorrow.

I thought it was 21st Century Schizoid Man from King Crimson.
That's a great song, but I think this little blurb is way out of context, and
since it has made it on the drudge report i feel the need to clarify.
I was actually listening to this interview. It was for a contest in which a
person gets a celebrity to call in and that person wins 10k and the celebrity
wins 10k for the charity of their choice. The PM called in on behalf of a man
who wanted to go to the transplant Olympics. At the end of the interview,
Christian said they are doing an 80's thing and they wondered if he had any
particular song he like from the 80's... and then said something to the tune of
'be careful what you pick because the newspapers are going to read way too much
into this', the PM said, how about u2, something off the Joshua Tree. Christian
asked if there was any particular song and Mr. Blair said Where the streets
have no names without much hesitation - but he never said anything about it
being his favorite song of all times. Funny how right Christian was.

The best is Ireland's THEM !
Great band, but my least favorite song. How about a song like Gloria or Bad.
Actually my favorite band, but I dislike the song.
I like this song a lot,myself.It caused a little stir in my hometown,in 1987,(a
noted music town-Jacksonville,Fl.USA)when the dj's @ rock105 fm kept calling
the album a "psuedo" christian rock album. When even the "pros" can't peg your
music, that's gooooood. As for Mr.Blair,we great minds think alike.
Tony Blair has good judgement. "Where the Streets Have No Name" is one of my
favorites, too. Another example of Bono's Irish bard sensitivity and
brilliance...
