Green Day 21St Century Breakdown Album Review Message Board and Comments

To the comment below me: Billy Joel is a musician and I don't think that the author of this review is misinformed. Green Day combined lots of other musicians styles e.g. of Queen, John Lennon and yes, also Billy Joel on their new CD. But unfortunately, those musicians are way too big to be 'converted' into a typical Green Day sound. I've been listening to Green Day since 1994 and in my opinion 21st CBD only sells that well, because the American Idiot hype is still present. But it isn't a good album at all, sorry, that's just my opinion. I really hope their next album will consist less of other musicians ideas and will be more Green Day as they used to be. Sure, musicians improve or 'grow up' but you can't try to be a second U2's Bono when you started by writing angry critical songs about society. It's hard to believe that they are really convinced of what they wrote. But that's as I said just my opinion. Lydia
