This movies was hilariously horrible. i almost fell out of my seat by the time i got to the scare crow (michaeil jackson). don't EVER try to mimic the classic Wizard of ozz, and if you do..dont be as retarded as this one was. seriously, what were these people thinking.

i loved the wiz.that movie was and is still great. michael is talented as a singer,dancer,and actor. and as a writer.i don`t care what critics thought about that movie.that movie came out the same year i was born.and it`s one of my favorite movies of all time.he brought life to the character of the scarecrow.and he should be proud to have been apart of it.as should the rest of the cast.

The Wiz was a great movie when I first saw it at the age of 4. I have loved it since and still love it today. All the music stuck in my head form the age of 4 and I can recite and sing every song from the movie today. Great movie for the time it was made, remember it was made in 1978.

i have always been a fan of michael jackson when he played on broadway in the wiz i took my children there and they loved it but first of all i met micheal jackson when he came to saratoga performing arts center when he was one of the jackson five. even thiough he has had his troubles he is still a human been and no one can judge him but GOD, so leave him alone

Anything that has Michael Jackson in it will be the pits. Quincy Jones agrees with that sentiment. He's turned Jacko down in recent years. This "guy" is a bad actor, period. If he had cleaned up his habits and left little boys alone, he might have be able to pick up the pieces and move on. He did not, out and out refused to acknowledge his issues, and stated that he would continue sleeping with other people's little boys. I LOVED the Wiz. Don't believe the critics. Remember how many films there are that critics slandered and then they end up having Oscars!

The WIZ is a great show,... this critic must be one of those, anti-michaeljackson people, or in other words, closet jackson fan,... doesn't want too let anyone know he likes mj. Yeah I know alot of those,... it's cool now days Not to like michael because of all the terrible rumors. Oh well, there is Followers, and there is Leaders.... We know who we are, and We also know who You are.... ...and, The Wiz! One of the best shows ever! I loved it.

I loved all the songs, and the dance routines, the actors were excellent, and even that early you could see that Michael Jackson is not only a genius in music but also that he is a very talented actor... It was dazzling and colorful, kind of a modern Wiz, and the only part that was so to speak unusual to me, was that Dorothy wasn't a little girl but a grown lady. Nevertheless, I enjoyed watching it and own both the dvd and the soundrack. It is interesting how some critics are so one-sided but that only gives us a good picture about their unprofessional, cranky selves... or maybe jelous?
