Am I the only one tired of this mob/crime genre? Scorese should use his powers for good for a change. This movie is badly edited and Jack is annoying. Talk about going in and out of accent. If Anthony's rookie cop is Leo's friend, why don't the regular pol ice figure out who the "rat" is, and negate the need for the movie entirely? If there is no more mob left, why doesn't leo just "out" matt and take his money and quit - negating the need for the movie entirely? This is one of the worst films ever to win an academy award. I'm also tired of "Gimme Shelter." Scorese, there are other songs by the Stones and other adjectives, nouns, verbs, adverbs, gerands than the vastly overused F*CK.

I "love" cop movies. Good cop bad cop..as long as the story is captivating and the acting is good, I love cop movies. Perhaps it rises from my criminal justice day at university. Leonardo Dicaprio has morphed from a skinny little chicken legged boy (remember him in 'Gilbert Grape' and 'The Quick and the Dead'-one of the films in which I truly admired Sharon Stone- the other being 'The Mighty') into a super hunky and handsome *STAR* quality actor. Kudos to the cast, director, and produces. I didn't care how lengthy it was. I got lost in the moment.

Screen 9, Walton, Essex in the United Kingdom were pleased to premier this movie. Privately owned by Den and Em. A fantastic film portraying a seedy, corrupt side of both the good guys and bad. the gangsters not all bad and the cops not all good. The film goes off at tangents at times but with just cause as the film gerts bigger and bigger and the storyline wider and wider. Beleivable performances from some of the finest male actors in Hollywood complement the fine direction, lighting and editing in the fantastic film. Some unexpeded scenes simply leave your jaw touching the floor but at the same time not wanting the film to end. Jack's back, and thank God. His performance is as you'd expect from such an expert in his art. He clearly takes control of the pace of the film and performs his role effortlessly. His male co-stars simply add flavour to an already fine meal. Den (Screen 9).

WHAT A FILM - A fantastic portrayal of corruption and interwoven intrigue. Whilst the plot seems to go off at tangents at times, it's with very good reason. Jack's back, and thank God. He's acting skills dictate the films pace, which is fast, seedy, shocking at times and generaly life like (as best one can tell). Some of the best male actors in the business give complementary believable performances. Great lighting, film direction and editing add to the performances and enhance the film. The end result is a GREAT film.
