Fool's Gold Movie Review Message Board and Comments

Unbelievable, how boring can you make a film?? The plot apart from being obvious was tedious. Slap stick opening sequence that would have been more suited to Laurel and Hardy or Harold Loyd. The ridiculous divorce meeting (still in love but divorcing - but the sex was good) come on how many times has that lame comedy has been pushed across the screen? The script unclear as the key characters couldn’t be understood due to their overzealous attempt at authentic accents (Donald Sutherland's speech impediment is getting worse with old age or he blew it too, and what was the Eastern block partner actually saying). Male lead was so laid back he managed to be totally dull, of course we were supposed to be distracted by his physique, we’ve all been in a Gym!! Weak plot, weak acting, weak attempt at producing a ‘feel good’ movie with a Goldie Hawn lookalike/actalike.......might have been entertaining in the 70s but welcome to the century of intelligent humour.
