American Gangster Movie Review Message Board and Comments

American Gangster is an excellent film. It's structured well, has excellent photography and direction and the performances are excellent. I even thought that Russell Crowe was better than Denzel! It's a slow burner of a film but burns very well with a corker of a final half hour. Of course it's hard to not compare this crime drama against the mighty crime kings by Scorcese such as Goodfellas and Casino and in fairness, they are better films. However, American Gangster provides an excellent alternative to them. 8/10

denzel, denzel,i know i can never imagine to meet you in and shake your hand in person but i hope that in the eternal life i shall be able to do that. i love you as a person, and an actor. anyone involved in your life is lucky. but anyoone whos kissed those lips..mmmh No comment. just so you know am jealous..good luck in your life. if i ever had a last wish in life, i would wish to dine with you dee..chao.

This is one of the best films I've seen in recent years! I may like Russell Crowe afterall & Denzel's outstanding, as always.

Great movie, as usual Denzel did an outstanding job, he continously excel in everything he does. Denzel do not change, because you are an awsome individual with your hansome self, love ya.
