I really hope Pete can pull it together, i really feel he has a heck of a lot of talent. First album from Babyshambles is an absolute mess, production quality is crap. When I saw them live, basically every song sounded better live. Pete Doherty can really pull it out of the bag when he still wants too.

I live in the same town as Pete's parents, my heart goes out to his family. I have recently had to ask my son to leave due to alcohol & drug taking. As a mother it breaks my heart but I have done all I can to help him, he's even spent time in jail due to violence resulting from the substances that he has taken. My son adores Pete, he hasn't gone as far with the drugs as Pete has but far enough to f**k him up. My heart & best wishes goes to his family, it must be so hard for them to deal with, especially when he is so prominent in the newspapers. I really hope Pete can sort himself out, he is such an intelligent lad who deserves to show the nation that drugs can be overcome. Best wishes Doherty family.

Argh. Why does no-body really get what Pete is all about?! It makes me so unbelievably angry, even though I don't know him. I just think he's amazing, in fact, I know he is. People that slag him off all the time just read what's written in the press and take an instant dislike to him. i think pete is a good guy if he wonts to take drugs then he will.and if he wonts to change his habbits then he will. i have read many articals on pete and he sounds sweet. he may not be the perfect bf for a supermodel like kate but she can decied who she wonts to date. if they love or like each other than thats great, good for them. but at the end of the day its their life and they can live it however they like. even though i dont really no pete i am a huge fan of his and i will sopport him if he ever goes into rehab to change his ways.

I guess it all comes down to your music tastes. I love him cause personally I think he has an amazing voice and he sings/plays the music I like. He writes great lyrics and I think it's got to do with what you like. I know I'm going to p*ss a few of you off with this, but I watched some of the documentary on Pete Doherty last night. I watched it because I have been wondering for some time now why this guy is always in the news. I accept that he's got a supermodel girlfriend. Surely it can't just be that though? I also know he has a troublesome drugs habit - but that's hardly news in the world of rock and pop, is it? So does it come down to his music? On the face of it, what has he done? A well-received album with a not-particularly-massive or ground-shaking band in The Libertines? Presumably his talent is so infused with originality and/or sheer out-and-out brilliance that it demands to be heard. But after watching last night's programme it's clear that this isn't the case, either. So what is it. I just don't geddit.

More Kate's would be great too but I guess sober(?)Petes would be teriffic. I don't exactly know whether they are married or not...I read it in a gossip magazine, It just said that they got married in Florence, Italy. I'm not sure how old the magazine is though, I think it's recent.

Don't get me wrong, drugs can sometimes be fun if done in moderation and only once in a while, but Doherty just keeps screwing up. I guess he has too much free time on his hands, and/or surrounds himself with other drug addicts. I don't know how someone can get off drugs with those factors, especially being in the music scene. But since he has so many fans and probably many close friends, why can't they carry his drugs for him, and also keep the drugs away from his house in the event the cops raid his house?
