mel is not just an actor who gets paid for a movie... no, to me he presents new challenges in hollywood where he always has a different approach to acting, producing and directing... he has a huge reserve of issues to be addressed through the movie industry. Mel is an icon. Mel absorbes you in whatever he's doing! Amazingly, you can not avoid watching a movie of his even if you have watched it hundreds of times... I believe that as humans everyone makes mistakes so please if you blame him for certain actions stop! I believe in his political views -although many do not. At lease the man is honest to speak up when he should. Mel has a side that not many know about, so don't be judgmental, he's human. Mel's movies are great, his way of thinking is FREE, and his way of addressing issues is extremely interesting. From my heart, I wish he works on a movie that talks about the middle east Subjectively.

I have an idea for a film that I am sure would attract an audience. Mel has done a lot of great work involving a fight of struggle against England. What about writing a script about the political and military overthrow of the English government in Northern Ireland. That would be a totally awesome movie especially because it involves the current issues. Give me credit for this one Mel.

I have just finished watching with interest an interview with Richard Wilkins on Channel 9 in Australia. Even as Mel noted the "incident" took place over 6 months ago, when crossing back to the studio the anchorperson couldn't help but try to build up the racism issue again. Full credit to Richard Wilkins for trying to shut that type of sensationalism down and congrats for your new film. And I am sure you will have every success with anything that you put your mind to!!! And dont let journalists or any other tall poppy syndrome bring you back down!!!

The 'red carpet, arts and entertainment corp. celeb industry' is owned and harshly managed by giant corporations specializing in marketing and commercialism (not the arts). The 'corp. celeb biz' spoils, generated in business and services, advertising, merchandise and endorsements, tax breaks, profit sharing and portfolio interest payouts, etc. via this fake cake, would surely have to be measured in the billions.'SCARE & SLANDER' AND 'BLACK-BALL' TACTICS..Every savvy person involved in the arts, being commercially managed by corp. Hollywood, is fully aware of the sharp blade that Corporate wields with a swift and heavy hand. I'm speaking of their 'scare & slander' and 'black-ball' management tactics. The old-money actor families that survived Hollywood, as far back as the 1930's to 40's, know that this isn't new. In addition, corp's questionable, extremely oppressive and borderline unlawful labor practices, sweat-shop type working conditions, and yes, skewed compensation (relative to how enormously non-affordable it is to be a famous actor), are kept under tight wraps as well. More and more Hollywood actors are showing outward signs of this. Even so-called "independent film" is in many cases affected by commercialism. Corp. Hollywood's monopoly of the arts is in serious violation of America's freedom of speech. Should the people not take timely responsibility as the majority overseers of our society's arts and employ our supreme courts to free the arts...well, history has a tendency to repeat itself, doesn't it? I'm not saying that corp. Hollywood's intent is anti-semitic. But they have proven that they will, indeed, break down anyone that questions their power or greed. Fascist states suck. Their great manipulate the people by strangling society's arts with an iron hand in order to obtain their own personal, individual and political agendas. For those of us affluent enough to take action it might be wise to take these words more to heart. It's wholesome to permit the arts and corp. to be at matched odds with one another. However, monopolizing our arts or retaining fascist like ways to choke them is not favorable for maintaining strong stability within our people or establishing a well respected status as an allied global power. FAMOUS ACTORS NEED EMPATHY TOO...Famous actors|artists in Hollywood don't live on a different planet. And they don't need our envy or worship. They're America's symbols of royalty depicting freedom from oppression as they pursue universal enlightenment in the humanities via their craft. Currently, they are fiercely oppressed by a mammoth opponent. Famous actors are gifts to our civilization and deserve our enthusiastic respect, empathy and supremely active support. Corp. is what it is. An actor or anyone in any other career field may implore massive conglomerate corporations to reform their ideologies. But who can suggest anything to these giants? Even the great don't have the resources to buy justice in a court battle with Corp. Hollywood. However, the people's response to corp's marketing ploys can trigger reform in high places. So, to those who have been understandably mislead, know that actors have to contend with 'The Man' in all aspects same as you and probably more so. Corp's campaign to control the arts would have to depend on that component of mankind which is unsympathetic to those appearing to live a lush lifestyle. They are abnormally quiet as a mouse except for silently investing in their highly publicized 'red carpet' events. The following can be deemed an accurate definition of most famous actors today. They are gifted artists forced into the stock market and investment business who work as actors to help supplement their income. Have you ever heard the statement, "I'm working as a waiter to be an actor?", which is impossible by the way. It's too exhausting and distracting from the creative environment which an artist must have least their muse and soul wilt. Some of our society's greatest actors have quit, never to return because: it's impossible to be a corporate artist (no such thing); the arts have been taken over by oppressive businessmen, 'corporate-land'; it's current economic opportunities can't support the enormous costs necessary for famous actors to live a safe, peaceful and private family lifestyle, while residing in a small, somewhat isolated city with little economic diversity located in a desert (L.A.) infested by gangs, paparazzi, and crazed celeb-biz fans. Where's the glamour, man? I mentioned actors deserve empathy too. Do you honestly think that 'The Man' would be so generous as to pay any of us more than just enough to get by with a little bit left over for savings while we swim in credit card interest payments? Mel Gibson and I have a lot in common. Both raised Catholic, well educated and stopped for impaired driving in the recent passed, and both very belligerent to the police and, in my case, to the Canadian Border Guards in Point Roberts/Tsawwassen at Washington/B.C. border, and slammed repeatedly by the media. I was acquitted by the Provincial Court by a very fair Judge Ellen Gordon, who found that my fundamental rights and freedoms under the Canadian Contitution Act(1983) were violated upon being stopped, and acquitted me of both charges on June 20th, 2006. Eleven papers in B.C. wrote defamatory articles about me. What happened to "innocent until proven guilty", especially since a Judge found me "NOT Guilty" without submitting evidence. I am proceeding to lay my own charges against the Border Guards and Police for PERJURY, FALSE ARREST, UNLAWFUL INCARCERATION, AND THEFT OF TWO RINGS (OVER $5000), and charging three newspaper publications with CRIMINAL DEFAMATION in their attempts to publically injured my reputation. Wow!!! I have always admired Mel. I am so sad though to know that he's another one with the drinking and driving issue. Not only putting himself in danger, but his children, and other families as well. I'm so glad that he did not endagered anybody else or himself and that he was caught by an officer so that he can FIX and END this problem before is too late. I hope he reads these comments from fans that admire his talents, his wonderful, beautiful, great work. wow!!. I always thought that Mel Gibson was a pure Australian. But it seems he wasn't born in Australia after all. I hope it was him who adopted himself as an aussie rather than Australia once again adopting actors who were born overseas, but if they travelled to Australia once they become Australian. MEH. If Mell Gibson does a film on Revelation prophecy, I hope he includes the SUDDED DEATH of Children Prophecy foretold in the book of Revelation.
