I heard the news today, my favourite actor ever. Good luck to him in all he pursues in life. Have never written on a site before but his talent is unsurpassed as far as I am concerned. Many happy nights spent in awe watching him convincingly bring to life the characters he has played. His voice was amazing in Walk the Line, will follow his music career, he deserves the utmost respect..... Way to go Joaquin!!!, n.b. Johnny Depp is cute but you were always the hot one xxxxxxxxx

I'VE LOVED JOAQUIN SINCE I SAW HIM IN "GLADIATOR". NO MATTER WHAT CHARACTER HE PLAYS, FOR ME IS JUST HAVING THE CHANCE TO SEE HIM AND HEAR HIS VOICE. I WOULD HAVE FALLEN FOR HIM EVEN IF I WOULD HAVE SEEN HIM IN ANY OTHER PLACE. HE'S HAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL EYES I'VE EVER SEEN. LOVE YOU ALWAYS.

what I like about Joaquin is that he leads a quiet life out of the spotlight, and doesn't do stupid things to make headlines. He is a real nice person, besides being one of the greates actors in the business..

By 'earthlings' i mean where Joaquin is the commentator for the most moving documentry i have ever seen. And it's something that he believes in , which makes it all the more moving!

WHAT ABOUT EARTHLINGS???

I have been on many Joaquin sites and have even read of long time Joaquin fans being put off by the new ones. I am a new one. I have never been one to go gaga over actors ever. My "crushes" or "idols" or whatever yu want to call them have always been musicians/singers. Here I am a 34 year old woman going gaga over an actor lol. When I saw Joaquin in "Walk the Line" , about halfway through, I turned to my husband and told him I was in love. He , of course, laughed. I don't know there was just something about him. So, I went out and started checking out his other movies and loved all of them! I do remember him from his younger role in "Parenthood" and thought he was a cutey then but he definately is more than just a pretty face now! I doubt Joaquin will ever read this but I think he is doing a fantastic job! His choice in roles are outstanding! Even thoughI am not a long time fan, I plan on being a fan from here on out!!

Just to let Joaquin know that in PORTUGAL (we are next door to Spain) we pronounce his name as "Joe wa keen" as it is a popular name. So please dont get upset if you ever come to Portugal and we pronouce you name like that. Let me congratulate you on the magnificent voice that you have, and yes I enjoyed Walk the Line very much. Joaquin Phoenix - A True Performer. I've admired his presence on screen since Russkies (knowing then he was only 2 weeks older than myself I felt extremely attracted to Leaf back then) but seen a great actor blossom over the many years, sadly not recognised earlier but like wine, we mature better with age. I hope his career goes from strength to strength as I for one, the biggest British Fan of KITTEN will continue to support the work he does. And a huge thank you to M Night Shyamalan for placing my home town of WAKEFIELD, England on the map in SIGNS (shown on the TV screen in the Book Shop that Morgan and Bo walk into) WELL IMPRESSED !!!!! Joaquin's amazing Johnny Cash portrayal has got a CMT nomination for Collaborative Video of the Year, along with Reese Witherspoon, for their awesome video of Cash and Carter singing JACKSON. I still think Joaquin should have got the Oscar for that movie, it was certainly much greater talent and entertainment than the ones who did win...

Joaquin Phoenix is great as Johnny Cash. He should make a CD of his own while he remembers how to sing so good.. He is a very talented actor and singer besides being so cute...

I think that Joaquin Phoenix is a wonderful actor, and music artist.. He did a oustanding job in Walk the Line. I have watch the movie 3 times now and it is one of my favorites!! I enjoyed Resse in the movie she did a outstanding job as well.. However,, I give the hundred percent to Joaquin cause he did a marvlous job in acting as Johnny Cash. I've watched Walk the Line 3 times, listened to a Johnny Cash cd inbetween each, and can't tell the difference! How did Joaquin DO THAT? He should have gotten the Oscar. He was robbed. He was 80% of that movie and Johnny Cash come to life...

I have seen "Walk the Line" several times already and I am very impressed. I can't think of any other actor who could gave pulled off the great job Joaquin did. Learnig to sing, play guitar and represent the "One and Only" Johnny Cash is not easy. Alot of hard work went into it and we won't forget it Joaquin! He seems like a nice and sincere guy. There's no "bull" about him. Honest to the core. Not found in too many actors these days. I hope he finds an honest girl one day, who will appreciate him as a person and not as an actor. We love you Joaquin!!!

I am so mesmerized by Joaquin and the way he brought Johnny Cash to life in Walk the Line. If I lived in NYC or Hollywood I would be keeping alert for a chance to meet this guy and I would make him fall in love with me!! And I'm not 15 or even 20-that is how great this actor is-he makes women and probably a few men go gaga!! (I'm writing a fan site for pete's sake-I haven't done this since John Stamos was the man) Every time I see him in something, To Die For, Clay Pigeons, Walk the Line, I just watch him, thinking he is from another planet or something, because he's so f'in cool! He can make me dinner anytime! I hope he wins the Oscar-he definitely deserves it and I saw Hoffman and Ledger's performances and think I am being mostly objective-yeah right...

I feel Joaquin is one of; if not the best actors of our time. And Im glad he speaks up, and says whats on he,s mind. He is a honest, genuine, real person. I really Hope That Joaquin Phoenix doesn't quit!!!! He is the best guy that I have ever seen on a movie and on tv! But if he does decide to quit then it is his choice, if he doesn't like what he is doing then it's ok by me but I'll still love him and I'll watch his movies over and over again! love ya Joaquin!!!!
