OK point taken not quite the hardman in paint your wagons. Lee Marvin takes the acting/singing honors there "I was born under a wandering star" No Xfactor for Eastwoods singing career

OddJob I agree that Unforgiven is a great film but I can't believe you think its better than the Good The Bad and the Ugly. But fair point about John Wayne...still think Clint Eastwood would have beaten him hands down apart from in the Shootist which I think is another classic and perfect for Mr Wayne when you concider his state of health at the time. Blimey I am arguing with my self now :-s Time for someone else to back me up

I would take Clint in Unforgiven any time. Its a far better film than The Good The Bad and the Ugly although Eli Wallach is pretty good in that. As for comparing John Wayne, I think thats a bit unfair as spaghetti westerns were the pinnacle of the genre is you ask me.

Watched The Good The Bad and The Ugly again last night. I still have trouble getting over how great a film it is. I think Clint Eastwood is the greatest Westerner actor of all time... Even the great John Wayne comes no where near Clint for his portrail of a tough western gun slinger. Discuss........
